Creating Artistic Memories

Art by BJ Valdez is and always has been who I am and what I do. As a kid, I sold newspapers on the streets of Cheyenne, Wyoming, to buy paints and art supplies to do my art. That aspiration to accomplish art has never changed.

I am a Vietnam Marine Veteran. In addition, I served these United States of America in the Wyoming National Air Guard for a total military career of twenty-five years. 

Both my wife and I are Education graduates of the University of Wyoming. I taught Art for 45 years in Wyoming. My wife also taught in Wyoming and is continuing her 35th year in the Arizona classroom at 76 years of age.

My signature of BJ Valdez came to me as a natural inspiration from a Marine Corps Brother who felt it was appropriate, as we accepted the challenges of Marine Boot Camp together all that long time ago. 

I love nature, and I reflect that as a recurring theme in much of my artwork. However, I also draw, paint, and sculpt using ideas that elicit inspiration in me personally. I truly enjoy doing Art and hope you, too, enjoy my creations.
